What excites you about the future of feed & food tech innovation?
Feeding the future means that we need to deliver enough healthy food to 10 billion people by 2050 in a sustainable way, when today we do not manage to properly feed 7 billion without a considerable footprint. The challenge is huge but also exciting because if we want to succeed, we will need a lot of feed and food innovation, not only on what kind of food to produce, but also on how and where to produce it.
Why is this Challenge & the acceleration it can provide important to the future of feed & food tech?
The NFFTC is a very good example of how feed and food technology is the only way to ensure we can feed the world population in the years to come. The innovators participating in the NFFTC all have something to offer and the discussions with the Nutreco experts will for sure help them to improve their technology or its application. The Challenge will also make them more visible for other potential partners and also investors.
What are you looking for in the pitches and business plans that will be presented in this Challenge?
Clarity and consistency. Put forward what you know and has been tested and state clearly the unknowns.
What is one piece of advice you would have for participants in the Challenge?
