We asked employees from across the globe what our values mean to them and what it’s like to work for Nutreco. Sergio Alanis Hernández, Director of Operations at Skretting LatAm, says that “passion” is the value that drives him and his team to go the extra mile each day. 

As Director of Operations, Sergio is responsible for supply chain, production, maintenance, operational excellence and processes, among others, at our aquaculture business line in Latin America. He’s been with the company for 14 years. “To me, the best part about working for Nutreco is our purpose of Feeding the Future, and the impact we have on our colleagues, customers and the community,” said Sergio. 

The Nutreco value that he connects with most is “passion” – for how it motivates him and his team to excel. “It’s inspiring to constantly raise the bar on our performance and strive for excellence. Passion is what drives us to go the extra mile and go beyond the expectations of our internal and external customers,” said Sergio. He said his team embodies passion by being willing to “challenge ourselves constantly, never settle for less and look for opportunities to be better every day.” 

Sergio also sees our values as essential to providing a stable foundation on which to pursue our purpose.
